The trend is more train, less plane

According to data from the Spanish National Institute of Statistics, the number of air passengers in Spain in February fell by 12.2%, compared to the same month in 2011. However, 2.5% opted for the train.

More specifically, we are witnessing a year-on-year 4.8% increase in long distance train use, including High Speed. A reduction of 3% in medium-distance trains and 2.7% more passengers in metropolitan trains.
